Hello Again.

Yesterday ended up not being such a good day. I ended up having my first emotional breakdown since I have been here. Not bad though if you ask me! This morning as rough as well getting back into the swing of classes. I felt I made many mistakes in class today which always discourages me. But then I was like you know what it´s Monday. No one ever has good Monday´s. A combination of emotions I think happened way to fast within a night and a morning.

I was riding on the bus this afternoon to meet Sarah in town and I began to think of this song.

Why should I feel discouraged? Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home?
When Jesus is my portion a constant friend is He.
His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me. His eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches me. (Mom, I thought of you)

I love this song and it really reminded me that you know what even thought I may be having a bad day or feeling discouraged it is ok because I know Jesus is watching over me! That really was and is such a comfort to me right now.

I have not been looking forward to this week because it is our last full week of classes. I am so ready for these classes to be done with.
This weekend I am hoping to go to a beach house with some of the girls from our group. One of the girls senora has a beach house that she said we are able to use. If it is still okay with her then we are on our way to soaking up lots of sun.

Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement throughout these weeks. It has been a wonderful experience for me and I have learned so much. I have loved talking with some of you individually and reading the comments that you all write on here as well.

As I was reading back through some of these posts, I realize that I do jump around all over the place and definetely don´t use spell check. (Aunt Emily, you must be dying every time you read this haha)

I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have had to fulfill this dream of studying overseas. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family who enoucarged me the whole way and a boyfriend as well :)

Jackie, here comes your favorite part!!

-I had honey dew for lunch today and Alathea I thought of you.
-Eveyone rides motercycles here. Today I saw a lady riding it with 4 in heels on. The other day there was a girl with a fancy prom dress flying around around her motercycle.
-There are orange trees everywhere. Very pretty but I guess a little to bitter to eat.
-I have enjoyed gettng to know the city better. I think I actually know my way back to my house now!!
-Speaking of, my roommate and I missed the last bus last night and we ended up having to walk home. It was a beautiful night and we actually ended up having a really good conversation.
-When I am on the bus, I swear all the seats get taken up except the one that is right next to me. Can they really tell that bad that I am American?
-The people here are not very happy. Well, they are when they are with there friends. Sarah and I had a good laugh the other day because we began to realize that no one was smiling as they were walking around.
-Apparently, I said something really bad in class today. My prof. started laughing and was like you shouldn´t say that ever again. haha
-It´s true when people say that the people here get very dressed up for everything.
-The older couples are adorable here with their affection for eachother.

That´s all I can think of for now.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers!
You are all missed and loved dearly :)รง

-Linnea
