Corpus Christi

Ok. This was Chorpus Christi. It is a Holiday that the Spainards take off in order to celebrate the body of Christ. It takes place in three cities in Spain (Seville, Granada, Toledo). I felt very privileged to be able to be in once of those cities. The processional started at 8:30 and ended around 11:30. We were able to view the processional from a balcony (showed in one of the pictures). This balcony is the brother in law of one of the directors of the program we are under. Their balcony won an award for the best decorated! There were tons of people in the processional and there were about 10 of the "floats." Each float had a specific meaning (the tall silver one is a representative of the body of Christ). It was so neat to learn about the different people in the processional and the meaning behind alot of it. I enjoyed it very much so!! And Bethany just for the record we were served wonderful food up in the balcony :)
We were actually served peppercocker cookies. Mom and Grandma, I felt privileged to be able to tell my friends I grew up on these cookies. They really are delightful!
