ARE WONDERFUL!!!! Why I am beginning to fall more and more in love with this city when I only have a week left? This weekend was absolutely w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. Me, Sarah, Jess and Ashley stayed at Ashley's senoras house FOR FREE. We arrived on Friday night and left Sunday afternoon. This beach house was about 2 minutes away from the beach? We literately walked out of the house went down a road and there was the beach in front of house. Oh my it was amazing.
We spent Friday night walking around the town and just talking and went down to the beach to explore our options for the morning. We found a private beach with some beautiful rocks (I will show you the pictures). Mom, Dad, Alathea and Bethany they looked just like the rocks in P.E.I. It reminded me so much of it! And our beach house smelled just like Cape Cod :) Made me even MORE excited to go there in August. Anyways, we all decided we would like to go to this beach the next day and relax there all day long. We even decided to get up early and see the sunrise. hahaha 6:30 came way to early and we all decided against that! Friday night's sleep has been one of the best night sleep since I have been in Sevilla.
I think it was a combination of exhaustion, a double bed (although share with Sarah), a ceiling fan (I actually slept under the covers!), and knowing that I was right next to the beach.
Saturday was spent ALL day on the beach. We slept in and then went right to the beach with only several other people sharing it with us. We all went swimming MANY times and the water was very refreshing. Jess and Ashley ventured out to find a grocery store and came back with lots of food. They found all the cheap deals and we ended up only spending 3 euros the entire weekend (Dad, you would be proud!..I was proud!).
Because I hadn't gotten to see the sunrise I decided that we should at least see the sunset and we did and OH MY WORD was it ever gorgeous. What a perfect way to end the day by seeing the sunset on the ocean. We took many good pictures and I can't wait to post them.
We spent a good amount of time on the beach watching the sunset, talking, eating cookies, laughing and making memories :)
I needed that wonderful weekend. My last weekend in Spain! I can't believe we are already headed into the last week. Bittersweet feelings. I cannot wait to see my family and finally be able to talk with Todd (and hopefully see him very soon!) but I have grown to appreciate the simplicity of life over here. The city is gorgeous and I am going to miss that going home and then going to Ohio. I don't think I am really going to realize how much I have grown accustomed to life over here until I am home and away from it. I have loved every minute of my time here and I said to Sarah this weekend as the sun was going down "This is what I am going to miss." Life is wonderful isn't it?
Oh a different note: Monday is our last FULL day of classes. Tuesday we have two classes and an oral final in our Literature class. Wednesday we have a combined Conversation/Composition final (mine is at 11:20am which would be 5:20am your time...please pray for me!) and then a written Literature final at 12:30. We have a goodbye dinner Wednesday night and then Thursday Sarah, Jess, and I head to Milan, Italy. We will be back Sunday morning and then Sarah and I leave on Tuesday. Ah!! This week is going to fly! 10 days left of being 20 and 9 days left of being in Spain. Time flies when you're having fun :)
Miss you and love you all and I will see many of you VERY soon!!
